Cabling Gang Lead
JOB TITLE: Cabling Gang Lead
JOB LOCATION: Cumbria
TERMS: Permanent, full time
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Lead a cabling gang on site, liaising daily with the supervisor on areas of work
- Build & deliver successful first-time fibre infrastructure to current PIA standards
- Installing pons style builds, MPT’s and CBT’s
- Test & commission Fibre Network Infrastructures
- Troubleshoot individual and wider network issues
- Installation of Customer Termination Point
- Correct use of equipment and procedures
- Ensuring all information is updated on Arc GIS
- Ensure team adherence to health and safety procedures
- Responsibility for ensuring all van and equipment checks are completed in a timely manner
- Adherence to all Health and safety practises
- Ensure work is completed to date deadlines
- Raise any risks to deadlines being met and problem-solving on site
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience of leading a team
- Proven ability to build strong relationships
- Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills
- Full valid driving licence
- Experience in telecoms and knowledge of BT Openreach specifications & documentation
- GIS/Autocad knowledge
