Role Summary
The Quality & Compliance team are responsible for overseeing defects and issues in the field. They will ensure that systems are updated in a timely and accurate manner and the provision of information to relevant parties.
The Role:
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure execution of PIA compliance standards
- Maintain accurate and complete record of compliance assessments and follow the notification process to alert appropriate parties where compliance is not met
- Work closely with he build teams to ensure a safe working environment
- Support wider PIA team by providing field support; check and validate queries; and take photos
- Adherence to health and safety while on site
- General Administration duties
The Person:
- Able to work autonomously with high level of attention to detail
- Competent with iPads and IT
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable organisation and time management skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable

JOB TITLE: Wayleave Officer
JOB LOCATION: Northern Ireland
TERMS: Permanent, full time
THE JOB
As a Wayleave Officer, you will play a vital role in facilitating the installation of telecommunications infrastructure by securing wayleave permissions on private land and properties. You will work closely with the Wayleave Supervisor and Manager and collaborate with various internal teams to ensure the efficient rollout of our network. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting audits, negotiating agreements, and liaising with stakeholders to navigate the complexities of land ownership and consent processes.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Wayleave Acquisition
• Collaborate with the Wayleave Manager to obtain permissions for the installation of telecommunications apparatus on both public and private sector properties.
• Conduct desktop audits of pre-build areas to identify private land and determine necessary wayleave requirements.
• Utilize land searches to identify ownership of private properties and secure wayleaves, easements, and landlord consents.
• Will be required to obtain wayleaves onsite from the landowner as well as remotely
Negotiation & Coordination
• Negotiate wayleaves for Business Parks, Industrial Estates, and Council properties, ensuring favourable terms for the company.
• Coordinate with Planning, Build, and Installations teams to update requirements and ensure all necessary planning consents, wayleaves, and listed building consents are obtained.
• Liaise with public bodies, including the Department for Infrastructure, Local Councils, and Housing Associations, to facilitate effective network rollout.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Schedule and attend meetings with landowners, Councils, management agents, and other stakeholders as necessary to discuss wayleave agreements and project updates.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for landlords, management agents, and solicitors regarding permissions for installations in residential and business premises.
• Provide timely updates to the Wayleave Manager on progress and any issues that arise during the acquisition process.
On-Site Responsibilities
• Conduct on-site visits to obtain wayleaves, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and signed.
• Work closely with the Wayleave department to understand policies and processes, maintaining compliance with all regulations.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
Experience & Knowledge
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a telecommunications environment.
• Previous experience as a Wayleave Officer (1+ year) is highly desirable, with a focus on negotiating wayleaves and managing land permissions.
• Familiarity with the ‘Symology’ platform is a significant advantage for data retrieval and review.
Skills
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including landowners and local authorities.
• Good organizational skills, capable of managing changing priorities within tight deadlines while ensuring quality output.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization and with external partners.

JOB TITLE: PIA Administrator – Maternity Cover
JOB LOCATION: Penrith – in office
TERMS: Fixed term contract up to 9 months
THE JOB
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our business as we continue to grow. Working within a busy team, you will work closely with others to ensure all the administration tasks related to our network build are completed in line with the Openreach PIA requirements. Full training will be provided.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
You will be responsible for the following areas and activities:
- Completion of administration tasks within a timely and accurate manner
- Reading cable maps and adding to Openreach Map (training will be provided)
- Assist in the production of reports as required by management and wider functions
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery on time, and to standards for safety and compliance
- Responding to queries and requests from across the business to support delivery
- Quality checking TRR maps on Arc
- Submitting daily whereabouts to the client, including extracting all whereabouts and populating onto excel
- Submitting weekly whereabouts, including details of where future works will be and uploading information onto Openreach (OR) portal
- Creation of Network Adjustments using both Arc and the OR portal to create A55 packs
- NOI (notice of Intent) creation to advise OR of the future use of their structure, including extracting information from design maps
- Identifying missing inventory from the OR portal and raising cases with OR to resolve
- Gather data on D-poles, identifying which are able to be worked on and which need to be replaced by OR before completing works
- Create SPO (self-provide order) evidence for submission to evidence work completed is to OR standard
- Liaise with design to ensure that all design changes are recorded and uploaded to OR portal
- Reporting of damages of network to Openreach
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
Ideally you will come from an administrative background, you’ll be excellent with Excel and work well under minimal supervision within a team.
- Experience in an administration role
- Able to communicate effectively both internally and externally
- IT literate with good knowledge of all MS Office packages
- Able to demonstrate the ability to work in a professional environment with high expectations
- Telecoms and/or GIS experience is desirable but not essential
