The Job Role
You will report into the ESG Specialist and will assist in the design, implementation and delivery of the Environmental, Sustainability and Governance strategy for Viberoptix. Passionate about this field of work, you will use your knowledge and influencing skills to inspire a cultural transformation and the integration of environmentally sustainable behaviours and tools across operational and functional areas.
· Provide reporting on ESG matters to the ESG Specialist, highlighting any areas of concern

We are seeking Wayleave Officers to join our team in Cumbria.
Location: Cumbria GB, Site based
Role Summary:
As a Wayleave Officer, you will play a vital role in facilitating the installation of telecommunications infrastructure by securing wayleave permissions on private land and properties. You will work closely with the Wayleave Supervisor and Manager and collaborate with various internal teams to ensure the efficient rollout of our network. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting audits, negotiating agreements, and liaising with stakeholders to navigate the complexities of land ownership and consent processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wayleave Acquisition
- Collaborate with the Wayleave Manager to obtain permissions for the installation of telecommunications apparatus on both public and private sector properties.
- Conduct desktop audits of pre-build areas to identify private land and determine necessary wayleave requirements.
- Utilize land searches to identify ownership of private properties and secure wayleaves, easements, and landlord consents.
- Will be required to obtain wayleaves onsite from the landowner as well as remotely
- Negotiation & Coordination
- Negotiate wayleaves for Business Parks, Industrial Estates, and Council properties, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Coordinate with Planning, Build, and Installations teams to update requirements and ensure all necessary planning consents, wayleaves, and listed building consents are obtained.
- Liaise with public bodies, including the Department for Infrastructure, Local Councils, and Housing Associations, to facilitate effective network rollout.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Schedule and attend meetings with landowners, Councils, management agents, and other stakeholders as necessary to discuss wayleave agreements and project updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for landlords, management agents, and solicitors regarding permissions for installations in residential and business premises.
- Provide timely updates to the Wayleave Manager on progress and any issues that arise during the acquisition process.
- On-Site Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site visits to obtain wayleaves, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and signed.
- Work closely with the Wayleave department to understand policies and processes, maintaining compliance with all regulations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a telecommunications environment.
- Previous experience as a Wayleave Officer (1+ year) is highly desirable, with a focus on negotiating wayleaves and managing land permissions.
- Familiarity with the ‘Symology’ platform is a significant advantage for data retrieval and review.

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including landowners and local authorities.
- Good organizational skills, capable of managing changing priorities within tight deadlines while ensuring quality output.

Role Summary:
The Quality & Compliance team are responsible for overseeing defects and issues in the field. They will ensure that systems are updated in a timely and accurate manner and the provision of information to relevant parties.
The Role:
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure execution of PIA compliance standards
- Maintain accurate and complete record of compliance assessments and follow the notification process to alert appropriate parties where compliance is not met

We are seeking Project Co-Ordinators to join our team in Penrith, Cumbria.

Role Summary:
To work closely with the Build team and support the planning and scheduling of work in line with the programme team. This role will require constant communication with a number of departments to ensure information is accurate and readily available to support the Build teams.
Responsibilities:
- Engaging with the management team to plan and schedule work in line with the programme ensuring
- A strong knowledge of programme and works scheduled
- An early warning of planned changes to forecast
- Ensuring full visibility of activity and risks across all areas of the project
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation – ensuring documents are updated and maintained
- Assisting the Build Managers to define the project scope, project activities and dates, involving all relevant stakeholders
- Liaising with the Streetworks team, updating the Streetworks system with relevant information
- Provide Streetworks administration support in accordance with business operations, ensuring compliance with all elements of Streetworks legislation through effective management of notices, permits and other documents
- Liaise with operations, local authorities and third parties to arrange bus stop / parking suspensions / road closures, use of portable traffic signalsand other traffic management
- Support the development of processes, workflows and efficiency improvements
- Ensure permits are being accepted, and finding out and flagging in advance if there are issues
- Working with the Build Managers to ensure the correct activities are identified on the project to deliver by ensuring lessons learned are communicated effectively
- Track project progress and update with daily whereabouts of teams
- Monitoring and tracking project progress against the detailed project plan – identifying risk and supporting in identifying mitigation activities
- Reporting project progress, status, and risk in a regular and timely manner, using appropriate tools and techniques, including escalation of risks to management as needed

We are seeking Civils Supervisors to join our team in Cumbria.
Location: Cumbria GB, Site based
Role Summary:
To supervise the crews on the ground (Direct and Sub-Contractors), ensuring that the work is being completed to standard, on time and that all work completed is in accordance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
The Job Role:
- To supervise the civils aspect of the build, ensuring the associated build teams are meeting KPIs and targets
- Assisting with planning crews around the works and ensuring daily tracking of network build
- Supervising engineers on site and reporting any concerns into manager
- Ensure relevant Health & Safety standards are followed and achieved
- Development of team resulting in streamlining processes as required on network
- Oversee completion of works are carried out in line with acceptable handover including As-Built compliance / documentation
- Attend all required meetings with both internal parties and sub-contractors
- Attend weekly progress meetings when required and ensure Council permits are in place to keep civils works on schedule
- Co-ordination of work in line with delivery programme
- Manage expectations on date deliveries and volume delivery targets
- Manage risk register in line with delivery programme and documentation of possible delays
- Assess, review, and mitigate commercial & contractual risks
- Monitor work production outputs closely with regular dialogue with the commercial dept.
The Person:
- At least 1 years’ experience in civils builds
- Previous supervision of work or teams
- The ability to motivate, manage a successful team to deliver the highest possible standards
- Proven ability to build strong relationships
- Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills
- IT literate to be able to use iPad / laptop
- Full valid driving licence
- Experience in telecoms is desirable
- Supervisors NRSWA (Streetworks) accreditation with a thorough knowledge of The Reinstatement of Openings in Highways
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Previously supervised civils gangs, box builders and reinstating crews (desirable)
- Knowledge of BT Openreach specifications & documentation is desirable
- Experience of working with BT/Openreach and knowledge of Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) (desirable)
- GIS/Autocad knowledge (desirable)
